Steel profiles from ENVUN’s warehouse – clear terms before you buy

ENVUN operates as a wholesaler and distributor of steel profiles. We stock thousands of tonnes of material and handle orders ranging from a single bar to full 24-tonne loads. Because stock rotates quickly, we don’t guarantee fixed availability for every size — our sales team checks it for each specific enquiry.

Before you buy, we confirm the available item, price, expected preparation time and collection terms*. We can sort and pack the material according to agreed guidelines. ENVUN does not arrange transport; collection by the customer or delivery via an external carrier remains the customer’s responsibility.

Key information:

  • sales from a single bar, with no minimum order value;
  • pricing calculated per kilogram or tonne;
  • available material is typically prepared within 1–2 days;
  • repeat orders can be fulfilled, subject to the availability of the next batch;
  • material packed according to previously agreed guidelines.

What are closed steel profiles, and which cross-sections are available?

Closed steel profiles, also known as closed sections, have a closed cross-section. ENVUN’s range includes square profiles, rectangular profiles, oval and semi-oval profiles, and selected profiles with non-standard shapes. ENVUN does not manufacture profiles — we stock, sort, pack and distribute the material that’s available.

Basic profile parameters

When choosing an item, you need to specify the type and size of the cross-section, wall thickness, bar length, black or galvanised variant, and quantity. Across the whole category, wall thicknesses range from 0.5 to 8 mm, although not every thickness is available for every size and shape.

Bars are most commonly available in lengths of 6 or 12 m. Other lengths may also appear in stock from time to time. The exact combination of parameters and the number of bars available is always confirmed by our sales team.

Our 2nd grade closed steel profiles offer:

  • highest quality product;
  • very competitive pricing;
  • available in 6 m and 12 m bars;
  • full-value profiles without certification;
  • perfect for welding and galvanising;
  • Western European product.

What do customers use closed steel profiles for?

Steel profiles from ENVUN’s range are purchased as material for further processing and production. They most often go to construction companies, contractors building structures and fencing, and manufacturers of machinery and equipment.

Steel structures and small architecture

Customers use profiles to build frames, shelters, garages, canopies, support elements and other steel structures. The cross-section must be selected to match the loads and operating conditions, based on the project documentation.

Fences, gates and balustrades

Square and rectangular profiles are used, among other things, as posts, rails, and frame elements for gates and wickets. The black variant is usually chosen for further welding, painting or galvanising, while the galvanised variant is used when material with a ready-made zinc coating is needed. Fall-protection applications require a design and material with documentation appropriate to the project.

Machinery, furniture and series production

Profiles are purchased as a semi-finished product for machine frames, guards, equipment bases, furniture components and other items made either individually or in series. For repeat orders, ENVUN can continue supplying the same size, although the timing of the next batch depends on incoming deliveries and isn’t guaranteed in advance.

Custom projects on request

Closed steel profiles are also often used in non-standard projects: custom builds or technical installations. If you need dimensions or parameters outside our standard range, we can arrange cutting to size and help you select the right profile for your project.

Types of closed steel profiles in ENVUN’s range

Choose a cross-section type to check the relevant dimension ranges and put together a complete enquiry. The ranges shown indicate what’s possible for each group, but they don’t mean every combination of size and wall thickness is currently in stock.

Square steel profiles and rectangular steel profiles

Square and rectangular steel profiles

The full list of dimensions and available wall thicknesses can be found on the dedicated product page.

  • square profiles: outer dimensions ranging from 10 × 10 to 200 × 200 mm;
  • rectangular profiles: outer dimensions ranging from 20 × 10 to 200 × 150 mm;
  • black or galvanised variants — depending on the availability of a given item;
  • lengths most commonly 6 or 12 m.
Oval steel profiles

Oval steel profiles

We offer cold-formed oval steel profiles. They are available as black sections.

ENVUN oval profiles are characterised by high quality and competitive pricing. They are excellent for welding and galvanising.

Oval steel profiles come in bars with lengths of 6 and 12 m.

Black or galvanised steel profiles – which variant should you specify in your enquiry?

Black profiles are usually chosen for further welding, painting or galvanising. They’re the cheaper starting option, but you need to plan the protective finish of the final element separately.

Galvanised profiles have a ready-made zinc coating and are chosen, among other things, for elements exposed to weather conditions when the customer doesn’t plan to paint them. Processing, welding and any points where the coating is damaged may require re-protecting.

Every profile type can appear in both variants, although not every size is permanently available as both black and galvanised. It’s worth specifying your preferred variant in the enquiry, or noting that you have no preference.

How to order steel profiles from ENVUN’s wholesale warehouse?

Ordering at ENVUN is very simple and takes just a few steps

Step 1. Send us your specification

Tell us the profile type and size, wall thickness, bar length, black or galvanised variant, and quantity in bars, kilograms or tonnes.

Step 2. Get availability confirmation and a quote

Our sales team will check current stock, the possible preparation time and the price. If an item isn’t in stock, they’ll let you know about waiting for the next delivery.

Step 3. Confirm the preparation terms

Agree on the packing method and planned collection date. For retail orders, one simple cut of a full bar can be arranged, solely to make transport easier.

Step 4. Arrange collection

ENVUN will prepare the material for release from the warehouse. The customer collects it using their own transport or arranges delivery through a carrier of their choice.

Cutting for transport, packing and collecting profiles

ENVUN doesn’t offer series cutting of profiles into production parts. For retail sales, we can make one simple cut of a full bar to make it easier to transport. The customer pays for the whole bar and receives both resulting pieces. For wholesale orders, we release the material without cutting.

We can sort and pack the goods according to previously agreed guidelines. Bars are secured with steel strapping and spacers, among other methods; securing the load on the vehicle is the carrier’s responsibility and must meet transport requirements.

What determines the price of closed steel profiles?

We don’t publish a fixed price list, because the price of profiles changes mainly with the price of raw material and depends on the batch currently available. The quote is also affected by:

  • the type and size of the cross-section;
  • wall thickness and the weight of the material;
  • black or galvanised variant;
  • order size;
  • the agreed method of preparation and packing.

We quote prices per kilogram or tonne. Offers are normally valid for 7 days, unless a different period is stated in the quote we send. Transport costs are not part of ENVUN’s service, since the customer arranges delivery.

Custom dimensions available on request

As a supplier of steel mill products, we offer the option of ordering steel profiles in non-standard lengths. Please define the order parameters (width, height, wall thickness, length and quantity of profiles) in the configurator below. Our sales team will prepare an offer that takes into account material availability and the service completion time.

    Steel profiles – frequently asked questions

    No. ENVUN operates as a wholesaler and distributor of steel profiles. We stock, sort and pack the material ourselves, preparing it for collection by the customer.
    ENVUN maintains a permanent stock of thousands of tonnes of steel, but the availability of a specific size changes on an ongoing basis. To confirm it, we need the cross-section, wall thickness and the quantity required.
    The minimum order unit is one full bar. ENVUN’s offer is aimed primarily at business customers, while retail sales are local in nature and take place on-site at the warehouse.
    We don’t offer series cutting for production purposes. For retail purchases, we can make one simple cut of a full bar to make transport easier — the customer then pays for the whole bar and receives both resulting pieces. Wholesale orders are supplied uncut, as full bars.
    No. ENVUN doesn’t have its own transport fleet and doesn’t arrange delivery. We prepare the goods for collection, and the customer either collects them using their own transport or arranges delivery through an external carrier.
    Material available in stock is usually prepared within 1–2 business days. If stock needs to be replenished with another delivery, this can take around 7–14 days — the exact timeframe is always confirmed by our sales team at the quotation stage.
    For a quote, we need: the cross-section type and size, wall thickness, length, variant (black or galvanised), and quantity (in bars, kilograms or tonnes). For enquiries covering several items, it’s easiest to send a ready-made list.
